Meditation has been known for thousands of years as one of the most beneficial practices to achieve harmony and balance in many aspects of our life. Practicing meditation regularly can help us alleviate stress from any situation. It helps us regulate our mood and emotional balance, as our brain releases hormones to help the body achieve balance. Meditation helps us stay focused, reduce any pains or aches, reduce anxiety. It also promotes creativity and improves memory and productivity and decreases depression. One will also benefit from improved relationships.
Meditation doesn’t need to be long. You can start simply by dedicating 10 minutes a day. Just 10 minutes can bring you a quick and desired result. You can do it in the morning after you wake up, but before getting out of bed, as well as in the evening, before you go to sleep. Or anytime in between, throughout the day, as long as you can find a peaceful and quiet place with no distractions.
Another important aspect is that you don’t get up and start running after meditation. Usually, after we meditate, we are in a relaxed state, both body and mind and performing any high-activity tasks will take us out of that state very quickly.
Throughout the process of meditation we are able to release all thoughts and worries our mind is busy buzzing with. The constant chattering in our heads, which most often than not we don’t even realize until we try to slow it down.
